Project Overview

On this project I designed the logo and branded the business EQ Productions which has been in operation for years before this project. EQ Productions is a company that provides public address systems for events and manages them during the events too.

My Contributions

For this project, I was tasked with designing the logo and branding the company. For this project branding was not just about designing the logo, font, brand colors, the major elements of branding. It also meant choosing materials for some printed items, determining the best accessories to promote the business.

The project was quite challenging and I learnt a lot from it. That is why its one of my favourites.

As with my usual approach, before I start, I collect information about the company I want to brand such as: what is the nature of the business? How long have they been around? Where do they see themselves in 10 years? What new lines do they see the business to branching into in future? How do people perceive their service? What are people saying about them? and more.

By compiling the answers, I get a good understanding and feel of the company. I can almost picture how people perceive them in the market and so use those properties to determine the best colors, typography, and logo type. Afterwards, I came up with 3 logo designs and showed them to the client and this one was picked. Afterwards, I go back to further simplify or adjust the logo.

At the end of the process, this was the final logo design the client and I were pleased with.
